Bad Nostrics, A Rancid Victory
Holy moly - the House vote Thursday is emerging as a political debacle of biblical proportions. Taking health care access from maybe 36,000,000 to fund $200,000 tax cut for each individual in the upper .1%. Bad optics. Bad nostrics- nostrics is a word I just made up that refers to how something smells politically.
Ah, the all white White House celebration of what feels like a death sentence to tens of millions - 24,000,000 lose coverage and each of them has a family badly affected when one member is sick and dying and cannot afford care; hurts to think we might have to watch grandma suffer and die and to also know she is suffering and dying to fund an extra $200,000 per person in the upper .1%.
Bad nostrics.
The wave could be strong enough to achieve real progress - like single payer.
We have entered the dynamic state of chaos - virtually every House Republican is vulnerable. Russia is a wave that will hit with fierceness - trust this with certainty. Make it work - make the chaos work for something better. Chaos never lasts. This won't either. What does the other side look like?
