Dirty Tricks on Weiner's Laptop?
I'm a little dumbstruck at the moment. Tonight, there is a very important development that adds credence to one of the more unlikely story lines of the whole affair. A conspiracy rumor made Weiner's perversion a Trojan Horse that put Trump and the Russians in our Oval Office. Even as the hypothesis remains far fetched to the ear, huge components of the allegation are falling into place as fact.
Emails of Clinton were found on the laptop of Ex-Rep (and pervert) Anthony Weiner. Weiner happened to be married to Clinton aid and confidante Huma Abedin. Thousands of emails were found on the computer - FBI Dir Comey then announced just days before the election that the emails would be reviewed. The late October announcement is credited with having a very bad affect on Sec Clinton's vote in key areas - especially white, working class areas she was expected to win.
There are two vital questions - 1) How did the emails get on the computer? And 2)How did the FBI get access?
Here is where the far fetched conspiracy of Louise Mensch comes in - The Carolina Conspiracy. She hypothesized the Carolina Conspiracy which posits that the emails were secreted onto Weiner's computer - that's how they got there. FBI access to his computer was created by a person pretending to be a fifteen year old sexting partner. The plan was for Weiner to go down for child sexting violations, then his laptop would be searched and bam - the emails are found. Which is exactly what happened. Comey was pressured to make an announcement and the rest is, as they say, history. (interesting side note - Comey released a classified letter about the emails to limited Congressional leaders; word is Jason Chaffetz removed confidential markings and leaked the letter, prompting the exposure - which is bad. Mr. Chaffetz has since resigned one of the most powerful seats in DC and wants to spend more time with family.)
Several days ago Anthony Weiner paid for the misuse of his laptop by pleading guilty to exchanging sexual images with a child. Louise Mensch was wrong! She had suggested the sexting partner wasn't a fifteen year old girl - but rather a plant by conspirators. Weiner plead guilty to sexting with a genuine fifteen year old child, as 'proven' by court papers . The age of consent in NC is sixteen, so for it all to stay together, she must be considered to be fifteen or less. Mrs. Mensch acknowledged that this part of the story was incorrect - except tonight it turns out she wasn't wrong. She was dead right. (Link here still reflects the mistake that she was wrong - she was not wrong - she was exactly correct). I wrote about it as an example to be careful - we always need to be careful about accuracy. Tonight the following headline was from The Hill paper:

(If this report is indeed correct, a huge part of the conspiracy is proven true.)
How, then, did the emails get on Weiner's laptop? This, lifted from Fox News - "the FBI said investigators had identified 49,000 emails that were "potentially relevant" to the investigation of Clinton's private email server. Of those, the letter said, investigators determined that "two e-mail[sic] chains containing classified information were manually forwarded to Mr. Weiner's account." Another ten chains were found on Weiner's computer "as a result of backup activity," the FBI letter continued." ..."Comey said the FBI had concluded that neither Weiner nor Abedin had committed a crime in their handling of email. So, How did the emails get there? How were the computers set to backup tens of thousands of emails to a strange place? Comey's tone makes it seem as if there were some mechanism other than Abedin's or Comey's intent. Could operators have penetrated so deep that the emails were secreted onto Weiner's laptop? And then a teenage operative recruited to play child sex bait to provide the FBI a means to get in? The Weiner fake email discovery changed the course of history - it likely gave the world a president Trump and ushered the Russians into the Oval Office. Tonight's Hill story, if true, fills in a huge chunk of a dirty trick with consequences for the ages.
